Fifteen vehicles were destroyed after a fuel tanker carrying 54,000 litres of petrol crashed into a garage at Ridge near Plux 2 Pub in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
The tanker crashed into the garage on Thursday, April 16, 2026, destroying the cars that were displayed along the road for sale.
No casualties were recorded in the accident.
It took firefighters from the Kumasi Kejetia Fire Station and the Regional Headquarters hours to manage the situation and prevent a fire or explosion.
Fire Service officials who responded to the crash embarked on cooling operations to eliminate any risk of explosion at the scene.
