The Obuasi Circuit Court has remanded into police custody, nine suspects over a viral video showing an assault on police officers at the Tweapease Senior High School Park in the Ashanti region.
The suspects were arraigned at the Obuasi Circuit Court on Thursday, January 8, 2026, on charges of assault on public officers.
A police statement issued on Saturday, January 10, 2026, named Joshua Frimpong, also known as Joey B; Williams Bannor; Isaac Dwumfour, also known as Sporty; Evans Bannor, also known as Pressure King; Ronald Asiedu, also known as Case Close; Alex Sarfo, also known as Okele; Yaw Alex; Desmond Obidiaba; and Emmanuel Agyemang as the suspects.
According to the statement, the incident reportedly took place at the Tweapease SHS Park, where the suspects, along with others, attacked police officers who were on duty.
Police say investigations are currently ongoing warning that anyone who attacks officers will be pursued and brought to justice.
