Deputy Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Asokwa Patricia Appiagyei believes the people of Ashanti Region will remember President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the numerous road projects in the Region.

She said construction of roads in the Region under the current president is unprecedented in the history of the country.

Report says since 2017, the Nana Akufo-Addo-led administration has constructed over 1,000 kilometres of road in the Ashanti Region, a figure which is more than double the 503.44 kilometres of road constructed in the Region under the erstwhile administration.

Speaking on GhanAkoma with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin on Akoma FM 87.9MHz in Kumasi, the Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament said Ashanti Regina has been a huge beneficiary of the works of the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

According to her, road projects in the Region are a manifestation of how the Region is a top-most priority of the government.

She said they have delivered on their promise of improving road networks in the Region and urged the people of the Ashanti Region to renew the mandate of NPP in the 2024 general elections.

“The Region has benefited from many projects in education, health, roads, water and sanitation and others. Everywhere our achievements are dotted across the region.

“Wherever you go in the Region, you will find out our handiworks are there.

“NPP came to contribute to the development of the Ashanti Region.

“We didn’t come to deceive anyone. Even after that, we aren’t done.”

She further pointed out that the construction of roads coupled with the numerous developmental projects in the Region will help boost socio-economic activities, particularly when the Region plays a critical role in the country’s development.

She denied claims that health projects in the Region have been abandoned.

She said rather government has completed most of the health projects inherited by the previous administration.
