The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has urged the 1,200 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the region to avoid examination malpractices.
Dr. Amoakohene gave this advice during a monitoring exercise at various examination centers in the Ahafo Ano South West and Atwima Nwabiagya North districts.
The Minister inspired the candidates to focus on areas of their interest and put in more effort to pass, stressing that their future aspirations depend on how they utilize their time in education.
He reminded them that the BECE is a crucial step in their academic journey and that hard work, seriousness, and dedication to their studies are essential for success.
Dr. Amoakohene assured the candidates that President John Dramani Mahama is committed to providing opportunities for those who pass and pass well after the BECE.
He encouraged them to engage in group discussions, sharing ideas on topics related to their subjects and syllabus, to prepare themselves for the examinations.
He donated pens and mathematical sets to the candidates at the various centers.
He appealed to them not to panic but to ask invigilators for clarification on any issues that may arise during the examination.
The Minister’s message to the candidates was clear: with hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, they can achieve success in their BECE and set themselves up for a bright future.
