Black Stars midfielder Majeed Ashimeru will stay with Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht further till 2027.
This follows the extension of his contract on Tuesday, July 16.
The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) player has been with Anderlecht for more than three years and he admits he feels at home with the club.
“I’m very happy I must say. I have been here for three-and-half years I feel home.”
He later told the club’s website what convinced him to extend his contract.
“It’s really simple: the club as a whole. How it matters to the fans. How important those colors are to them.
“They were always behind us, in good and in bad times. I want to give them something back.”
Ashimeru first joined Anderlecht on loan from Red Star Salzburg, where he moved to in 2017 from WAFA.
From then, he played on loan at Austria Lustenau, Wolfsberger AC and St Gallen in Switzerland before joining Anderlecht on loan.
Ashimeru was part of the Black Stars squad at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
