The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has reaffirmed his commitment to Ghana’s development, pledging to uphold accountability and sustain key legacy projects aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.
He gave the assurance during a two-day thank-you tour of the Western North Region, where he engaged party supporters, traditional authorities, and community leaders.
The first day of the tour took the NDC Chairman through Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Sefwi-Wiawso, Bia East, and Bia West, among other constituencies, covering all nine constituencies in the region.

Addressing gatherings at various stops, Mr. Asiedu Nketia emphasized the importance of sustainable development as a pathway to a stable and thriving future for the country.
He noted that development initiatives must be people-centered and designed to create long-term economic opportunities, particularly for the youth.
He also reiterated the party’s commitment to accountability in governance, stressing that public office must be exercised with responsibility, transparency, and a strong sense of service to the people.
According to the NDC Chairman, pursuing large-scale “big push” projects remains critical to accelerating national development and addressing infrastructure gaps across the country.
He explained that such projects are expected to deliver lasting benefits that will positively impact communities and the nation as a whole.
The thank-you tour forms part of efforts by the party’s leadership to reconnect with grassroots supporters and reaffirm its development agenda.
