At Assin Seidukrom in the Assin South District of the Central Region, a farmer has allegedly gunned down a friend in the Kakum Forest.

The hunter, Emmanuel Donkoh, a 26-year-old, is now in the grips of the police for allegedly killing his friend, Kwaku Aboagye, 57, also known as Accra Bread.

Reports indicate that Aboagye went missing on January 26, 2024, during a hunting expedition. After receiving a tip that Donkoh was with him, a team of police officers led by Detective Corporal Nii Armah Ashitey arrested the suspect.

Initially, Donkoh denied knowing Aboagye’s whereabouts, but after intense questioning, he confessed to killing him during the expedition.

According to Donkoh, the incident occurred in the Kakum Forest Reserve, specifically in the Assin Seidukrom area.

In a surprising turn of events, Donkoh led police to the forest, where they found Aboagye’s skeletal remains, identified by his distinctive clothing, wellington boots, a black T-shirt, and black trousers.

The motive behind the killing is still unknown, but police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
