Ghanaian sprinter Benjamin-Kwaku Azamati finished 3rd in the 100m final at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland, announcing his readiness for the World Athletics Championships.
Azamati, whose national record was smashed recently by Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, has been off major competitions for sometime now.
He missed the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou in China, where Ghana’s quartet qualified for the Tokyo 2025 Championships.
He stepped up, however, on Tuesday in Turku to win Bronze.
Great Britain’s Romell Glave won the race with a time of 10.08s while Canada’s Jerome Blake came second with a time of 10.09s.
Azamati came third after clocking 10.10s.
