The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews has weighed in Dr. Gideon Boako’s ambition of contesting the Tano North constituency seat.

He says his checks indicate the Economic Advisor to the Vice President is going to lose the elections, adding that his bid is just a move to secure a job for himself after 2024.

Speaking on M’abatoɔ, an evening political show with William Evans-Nkum on Akoma FM Thursday, December 21, 2023, the regional Chair of the opposition NDC said Dr. Boako knows what is ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the reason he wants to secure himself before the end times arrive.

“He knows Dr Bawumiah, his boss will not win the 2024 election, so why don’t he secure a job in order not to hung in the balance” he retorted.

Dr Gideon Boako is seeking to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament, Freda Akosua Prempeh, who is also the Minister Sanitation and Water Resources.

He has officially picked his nomination forms ahead of the January 27 NPP parliamentary primaries.
