A man believed to be in his late forties (40s), Kwame Josontey, has allegedly killed his stepdaughter in his farm at Sehwi Kankakrom near Yamatwa in the Bia West District of the Western North Region.
Isaac Oduro, a resident of the area confirmed the incident to Onua News. He explained that the mother of the deceased sent her to send her father’s food to him at the farm.
After several hours, the deceased, Mary Josontey, in her mid twenties, had not returned home. Meanwhile, her father informed her mother he had given her some work to do at the farm.

The sudden actions of the father, popularly known as Kwame Dagati, raised suspicions that one of their children decided to go to the farm and look for their sibling.
Upon reaching the farm, he saw blood on the farm and his search revealed the body of his sister killed and covered with leaves at a corner of the farm. He quickly came home and informed the family.
The father after being accused of killing his stepdaughter went into their room and took in an alleged poisonous chemical to kill himself but didn’t work. He was arrested and handed over to the police at Yamatwa.
The police was informed and the body of the deceased was taken to the Essam Government Hospital Mortuary while the father is also receiving treatment at same hospital.
