The Onua Foundation’s anticipated charity event, “Boafo Y’3na,” has received substantial support from Chief Salisu Ali Dabre IV, who donated items valued at thousands of Ghana cedis on behalf of the Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs.

“Boafo Y’3na,” which translates to “A good Helper is scarce to find,” is an annual initiative dedicated to providing essential supplies like food and clothing to over 500 underprivileged children while also offering them entertainment culminating to a day of joy.

Leading the donation, Chief Alhaji Salisu Ali Dabre IV elaborated on the motivati on behind the charitable gesture: “I am very glad to donate these items on behalf of the Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs to Onua Foundation. We have realized this is the month of Ramadan, the month of blessings, and we cannot enjoy the blessings of the month without remembering and caring for the needy and unfortunate ones. For that matter, we decided to donate these items to support the needy. We are very grateful to Onua Foundation for organizing the Onua Boafo Y’3na program.”

Receiving the valuable contribution, Abu Issa Monnie, Head of Onua Foundation, expressed profound gratitude. “We are very grateful to Chief Salisu Ali Dabre IV and the entire Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs for their generous support to Onua Foundation’s “Boafo Y3 Na “project.

“We really appreciate your thought of supporting the needy children during this month of Ramadan. This year’s Boafo Y’3na program is set to come up soon and we have a very large number of people to feed and entertain. We will do our best in making sure the items are delivered to the needy children as we always do, to put a happy smile on their faces,” he said.

The Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs has over 30 traditional leaders representing the Bissa community throughout the Greater Accra region. This collaboration exemplifies their commitment to community welfare and humanitarian service, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.
