Head Coach of the Black Queens Kim Lars Björkegren has named 24 players for probably the final camping ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The players are set to move to camp as part of intense preparations for the flagship women’s tournament on the continent.

The team broke camp barely a week ago after a training tour in Ivory Coast.

That tour saw the Queens draw 3-3 in their first game against the Female Elephants and later lost 0-1 to the same side.

Björkegren is seeking to bring back good memories to fans of the female national team after recent poor run in the WAFCON.

The Queens will begin their tournament against champions Bayana Bayana of South Africa on Monday, July 7 before later taking on Mali and Tanzania.

The Black Queens missed the last edition held in Morocco.

The players for the upcoming camping include former Black Princesses captain Afi Amenyeku and her teammate Comfort Yeboah.
