The Black Queens will play two more friendly games against the Female Elephants of La Cote d’Ivoire as part of preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
This will follow the two friendlies against Senegal in April, when Ghana won the first by 1-0 but lost the second by the same scoreline.
The first game of the friendlies with their neighbours will be played on Friday, May 30 with the second scheduled for Tuesday, June 3 in La Cote d’Ivoire.
The Black Queens are using the friendlies to prepare for the 2024 WAFCON, where they will play in Group C against champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania.
Ivory Coast failed to make the elite women’s tournament on the continent after losing on penalties to Tanzania.
Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s team gathered in camp early in May but wrapped up activities on Tuesday, May 13 for the Women’s Football Festival.
The team is expected to assemble for the trip to Ivory Coast.
