Ghana’s beach soccer team, the Black Sharks, have been placed in Pot 3 for the draw for the upcoming Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (BSAFCON) in Egypt.

Ghana beat La Côte d’Ivoire 10-5 on aggregate to make it to the tournament after nearly an eight-year absence.

The draw is set to take place in Egypt though no date has been communicated.

However, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the procedure and the pots.

Ghana’s Black Sharks have been paired in Pot 2 with Mauritania.

With regard to the allocations, hosts Egypt will automatically be in Group A while Senegal, the best-ranked African side, will be in Group B.

Among the teams to be drawn are Morocco and Mozambique, in Pot 1, and Malawi and Tanzania, in Pot 2.

The tournament begins on Saturday, October 19 and ends on Saturday, October 26 in Hurghada, Egypt.
