Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has confirmed his temporary departure from Nigeria due to health and mental well-being concerns.

After his release from EFCC custody, he said he left Nigeria to prioritise his well-being due to frustration from security agencies.

Despite attempts to disrupt his travel plans, Bobrisky flew out on his third attempt.

He claimed spending N9,8m on three business class tickets, requesting a refund from KLM for the unused tickets.

“Yes, I’m here to confirm I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to attend to my sanity and my health. A few Nigerian security agencies tried everything to frustrate me but naaa i gat God. Imagine !!! buying business class ticket 3 times. only 1 was successful. @klm I hope you guys refund me the two i didn’t use. I know is not ur fault but it’s fine. Each business class cost me 9.800,000.

“I only successfully flew yesterday 3/11/2024. Before you come to my page to type nonsense check ur account balance if you can afford 3 business sit not to talk of buying it 3times. Well, I’m not in Nigeria so ur comment means nothing. Cheers,” he wrote on Instagram.

Bobrisky’s departure follows his recent arrest by the EFCC. His legal issues began in April 2024 with a six-month sentence for naira abuse, but reports indicated he spent only three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before being discreetly relocated.

In September, social media influencer Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording that purportedly featured Bobrisky discussing bribing EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges.

On Thursday, November 2, Bobrisky was stopped and removed from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Murtala Muhammed International Airport while attempting to travel to London in the late hours.
