The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano FC, Alexander Ababio, has been elected the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tain Constituency of the Bono Region.
Alex Ababio polled a total of 455 votes to emerge winner.
He was beaten four years ago by Gabriel Osei, who lost the following year’s election to Adama Sulemana.
Aside heading Bofoakwa Tano FC as CEO, Mr Ababio is also the Mmrantiehene of Dibibi Traditional Council.
His forms were picked on his behalf by teeming youth in the area.
He is expected to come face-to-face with the incumbent, Adama Sulemana, who won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries held in May.
