President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Brigadier-General Glover Ashong Annan to head the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as its Commissioner.
A Felix Kwakye Ofosu-signed statement from the presidency Sunday, March 23, 2025, confirmed the appointment.
The President has tasked the new Commission to reset the Customs Division and support the GRA to achieve its revenue targets to aid the government’s target of fixing the broken economy it inherited from the previous administration.
Brig. Gen. Annan, before his appointment, served as Presidential Security Coordinator. This brings a rich security experience to his new role.
President Mahama in the statement also thanked the outgoing Commissioner, Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo, for his dedicated service to the Customs Division and the nation.
