Three persons have been reported dead in an accident at Tailer Junction close to the Winneba Junction in the Central Region.
The ghastly accident which involved a Toyota Vitz with registration number GW 907-24 and a Toyota Hiace with the registration number AW 78-22 also left 15 passengers seriously injured.
Winneba Municipal Chief Fire Service Commander D.0.2 Fredrick Adu-Poku, tells the media that the driver of the Toyota Vitz attempted an overtaking on a tricycle infront of him and collided with the O.A express passengers bus which was enroute to Obuasi from Accra.
Both vehicles, according to the fire officer, veered off the highway and run into a ditch.
He said a male and two females died on the spot while the remaining 15 have been sent to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
He advised drivers against reckless driving to reduce accident as Christmas approaches.
