An Agona Swedru Circuit Court presided over by his worship Jonathan Nunoo has sentenced 39-year-old Eric Asiedu to 14 years imprisonment.
Mr. Asiedu, popularly known in his vicinity as Agya Yaw, sodomised a 13-year-old boy in a coconut farm at Gomoa Mankessim in the Gomoa West district of the Central region as reported by Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare.
Presenting the facts of the case in court, Chief Prosecutor Emmanuel Akunnor said the coconut farm where Agya Yaw committed the heinous crime belongs to the victim’s family.

Agya Yaw, has therefore been employed by the family of the 13-year-old victim as a caretaker. He continued that, Eric Asiedu, aka Agya Yaw always asked the young boy to escort him to pluck the coconut when going to the farm.
Upon reaching the farm, Agya Yaw asks the young boy to hold one of the coconut trees, removes his panties and sodomises him.
He warned him not to inform anyone until he fell sick and sent to the Gomoa Oguaa Health Centre.
The Chief Prosecutor said it was there that the nurses revealed the young boy has been sodomised.
When probed, he mentioned Eric Asiedu who was subsequently arrested by the Agona Swedru police.
Eric Akunnor indicated the test run on the poor victim confirmed he has been sodomised.
