Team leaders of Zoomlion Ghana Ltd (ZGL)., under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) are complaing of insufficient and delay salaries.

The Central Regional branch of the Waste & Sanitation Module of ZGL are therefore calling on the CEO of the YEA, Justin Kodua, who doubles as General Secretary of New Patriotic Party, to intervene in the payment of their salary delay.

The angry workers have raised red flags about their salary delay, arrears and non increment of salaries.

Some team leaders of the aggrieved workers spoke with Onua TV.

“We want Justin Koduah to help us because the GH₵180.00 is not enough. We have wives and children,” a man cried.

“Mr. Agyepong (Joseph Siaw Agyepong) should help us. We are taking care of children. Initially the money was coming early but now it can delay for up to 10 months and they only pay part and leave the rest,” a woman complained.

“We want Mr. Justice’s help so that the contract would be renewed for us,” another worker asked.

“Our salaries were not delaying when we were taking it from the bank. Bank since it was changed to the phone, it delays. Then we could take an overdraft but not anymore since we don’t take our monies from the banks,” a YEA beneficiary lamented.

Some of the workers have asked the authorities to take their monies back to the banks.

They issues came up when both Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and Zoomlion Company Ltd in the Central Region organized a day workshop for its members under Youth Employment Agency (YEA) at the University of Cape Coast University (UCC).

The aim was to equip them with knowledge to enhance their work.
