In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale encouraged the young people who make up the majority of his fan base to develop self-reliance and a sense of purpose in life.
According to him, “To succeed in Ghana, it is crucial to cultivate self-reliance and direction. Channel your energy into personal growth and avoid idle chatter”.

He has over the years mentioned that the industry he belongs to has been unfair to him but he continues to carry himself along because he has a vision to be an influential face in music in Africa.
