The former Managing Director of SIC Insurance Company Limited’s suit over the termination of her contract has brought to the public, the fringe benefits accorded the office per the terms of her contract.

Hollistar Duah-Yentumi says her appointment, which spans a period of four years expires on January 1, 2028, and cannot be terminated by anyone except what is contained in her contract.

President Mahama has appointed James Agyenim-Boateng as her successor but she has refused to step aside saying it is only the company’s shareholders and Board of Directors who can terminate her appointment.

She is therefore seeking a declaration from the High Court to declare as null and void, the termination of her appointment as part of her reliefs.

Also among her reliefs is a demand for the defendants to compensate her for the entire salary and benefits due her for the remaining period of her contract.

Her benefits, as listed in the suit includes a basic salary of GHC840,000.00 per annum, subject to an annual upward review rate of 15% including Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and a provident fund.

An official accommodation and a repair of same to a suitable standard at a cost of up to GHC200,000.00.

It also includes a clothing, entertainment, canteen and professional allowances as well as payment of utility bills, property rate, and other taxes which shall be levied on her official residence.

Her domestic help, personal security, a gardener and other staff are also catered for by the state.
