The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has paid glowing tribute to firefighters across the country in a message shared on his official Facebook page.

The post on Monday, May 4, 2026, marks this year’s International Firefighters’ Day commemoration in Accra.

Mr. Debrah, who joined personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service at their Fire Academy Training School, described the occasion as both solemn and inspiring, highlighting the sacrifice of fallen officers and the dedication of those currently serving.

In his remarks shared on his official Facebook page, Mr Debrah reflected on the bravery of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty, noting that their courage and commitment to protecting lives and property would forever be remembered by the nation.

The Chief of Staff also used the platform to commend outstanding officers who were recognised during the event for their gallantry and professionalism, stating that their conduct represents the highest ideals of public service.

He expressed appreciation to firefighters nationwide, assuring them that their sacrifices and efforts are not overlooked.

He called for continued support and investment in the Fire Service to ensure officers are adequately equipped to respond effectively to emergencies, while urging that the legacy of fallen heroes continues to inspire future generations.

The post has since attracted public engagement, with many Ghanaians joining in to honour the courage and resilience of the country’s firefighters.
