The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), Simon Madjie, says Ghana’s current investment regime provides attractive incentives for both domestic and foreign investors.

According to Simon Madjie, the framework is designed to make Ghana competitive and investor-friendly despite shifting global economic conditions.

“The incentives, coupled with ongoing reforms, are aimed at boosting investor confidence and positioning the country as a preferred investment destination in Africa”.

He added that “GIPA will continue to work with relevant agencies to improve the ease of doing business and to attract capital into key growth sectors”.

The GIPA Boss, Speaking on Business Focus on Monday. August 24, 2026 said government is also focused on reducing regulatory bottlenecks that could discourage investment.

The CEO stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to unlock more investment opportunities. He expressed confidence that continued reforms would help attract both local and international capital to support sustainable economic growth.

Ghana recorded $2.62 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 2025, reflecting sustained investor confidence and the country’s growing attractiveness as an investment destination despite changing global economic conditions.

The figure was disclosed at the launch of the 2025 Annual Investment Report in Accra by the GIPA.

According to the report, 254 investment projects were registered through GIPA, the Ghana Free Zones Authority and the Petroleum Commission during 2025, with the projects expected to generate 18,748 jobs when fully operational.
