With barely hours before the December 7 general elections, the Chief of Grabodo in the Shama District, Nana Nkanomako IV, has added her voice to the call for peaceful elections.

In an exclusive interview with 3news’ Ebenezer Atiemo, she urged the youth to prioritize the peace and stability Ghana enjoys, and not let any politician manipulate them into engaging in violent behavior.

“I’d like to offer some advice to the youth. Let’s exercise patience and remember that elections are not a war, but rather an opportunity for us to choose our leaders peacefully.”

“After casting your vote, please leave the premises to avoid any potential trouble. It’s essential to prioritize your safety and well-being. Remember, no one can dictate who you vote for – consider your living conditions and make an informed decision. Let’s work together to ensure a peaceful and successful electoral process.” She advised.

Nana Nkanomako IV’s message echoes the sentiments of other prominent figures, including the UN Special Representative, who has commended Ghana’s electoral preparedness and expressed confidence in the country’s ability to conduct peaceful and credible election.

As peace ambassadors continue to preach the importance of peaceful elections, it’s clear that Ghana is committed to maintaining its reputation as a beacon of democracy in Africa. With the support of leaders like Nana Nkanomako IV, the country is poised for a successful and peaceful electoral process.
