The Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Emmanuel Odai Laryea, says he is poised to win the Krowor seat in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
He is optimistic to beat the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey with an overwhelming vote margin to secure the seat for NPP.
The Krowor constituency remains a notable political battleground in the country’s electoral history as both New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress compete fearlessly to win the people’s mandate.
The NDC has won four out of seven elections since Ghana returned to constitutional rule in 1992.
In the 2020 general elections, Madam Agnes Naa Momo Lartey of the NDC garnered 41, 850 votes representing 55.80 percent to defeat Mrs. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye of the NPP with 32,604 representing 43.47%.
The upcoming December 7 polls promises to be a fascinating showdown in Krowor as the two main political parties have adopted diverse tactics to win the seat.
NPP parliamentary candidate, Ing. Emmanuel Odai Laryea, is poised to win the seat for the NPP and has adopted a door-to-door campaign to engage the constituents.
Speaking in an interview with Onua news, Ing. Odai Laryea touted the role he has played to see to it that the road network in Nungua receives facelift, stressing he is in to develop Krowor and make Nungua hospitable.
“We civil engineers make the world hospitable, and I have started and the road development alone in the area tells you a lot. Look what I have done, if I am the MP, I think nobody will come and even challenge me because I have done massive work for Nungua,” he claimed.
He similarly highlighted other programmes he has rolled out to touch many lives including skills training, giving out start up tools to artisans as well as giving job opportunities for hundreds of the youth.
He is optimistic yet prayed the people will reflect on his benevolence and give him the mandate to serve.
