The youth of Ghana have been advised to make an informed choice between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come December 07.
The flag bearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who made the comments say he is the best option to deliver on his promises to Ghanaians, unlike John Mahama who had his chance and blew it.
Reiterating his ‘I’ve never been president before’ cliche, he urged the youth to grant him the opportunity to serve them as he will utilise his chance properly to better their lives.
Speaking at an engagement with the youth dubbed; ‘Bawumia for Jobs’ Sunday, November 03, 2024, Dr. Bawumia noted advised the youth not to bring back was discarded some some time ago but to choose a future for themselves.
The Vice President says he wants the youth to make a better choice in December to help rebuild the economy, which many have said has been in shambles under his own leadership as Head of the Economic Management Team.
“I shall plead with you to make an informed choice. It is a choice between the one who had his chance and blew it, and the other who is asking for a similar chance but to deliver with it.
“The decision is yours to make, not to bring back what was discarded in the past, but to vote for your future. If your priority is, as I suspect, to build an economic recovery that is before us, then I will plead with you to vote for me because of the vision and solution that I have for you and the country and the leadership discipline that I posses to see them through,” he stated.
Bawumia told the youth not to lose hope but trust him to deliver on his promises and give him their vote in December.
“I know that some of you may not be too eager to vote. I do not blame you. If you have bought into the view that all politicians are the same, and that your vote won’t make any difference. That is not so. I can tell you that your vote makes a big difference. I will tell you why we are all not the same and cannot be the same.
“I am not John Mahama. He is a former President and a former Vice president. I am a Vice president who has never been president before who is asking you for the opportunity to lead and show what I can do if offered this opportunity this December,” he stated.
