The Deputy Minister designate for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has assured the President, John Mahama and the people of Ghana her willingness to serve with dedication, humility and diligence.

The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region said the appointment is not just a call but a national service.

Madam Affo-Toffey was among the last batch of deputy Ministers nominated by President Mahama on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

Reacting to the nomination on her social media, the deputy minister designate said “I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for appointing me as Deputy Minister for Transport. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the President for the trust and confidence reposed in me”.

“This appointment is not merely a position it is a solemn call to national service, which I accept with humility, duty, and unwavering dedication.

I pledge to serve with integrity, diligence, and passion, and to contribute meaningfully to the transformation of Ghana’s transport sector”, she said.

The Jomoro MP said “the task ahead is significant, and I am fully prepared to give my utmost in advancing a safer, more efficient, and inclusive transport system that meets the needs of all Ghanaians”.

Madam Affo-Toffey expressed gratitude to the people of Ghana and her constituents for the support.

“To the people of Ghana especially my beloved constituents of Jomoro your continued support remains my greatest source of strength. I am here because of you, and I remain committed to working tirelessly in your service”.

She said “together, let us connect communities, expand opportunities, and build a transport sector that drives our nation forward”.

In a related development, the MP for Evalue Ajomoro Gwira in the Western Region, Kofi Arko Nokoe, has congratulated Madam Affo-Toffey for her appointment.

The MP said “her appointment is a well-deserved one.”
