The Deputy Minister of Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, received a delegation of investors led by the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Ghana, H.E. Najeeb Durrani, at her office.
The purpose was to discuss potential investment opportunities in Ghana, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the visiting delegation to explore possible areas of investment collaboration and engage with the Deputy Minister on opportunities within Ghana’s growing energy and related industrial sectors.
Discussions centred on identifying mutually beneficial investment opportunities, strengthening economic cooperation between Ghana and Pakistan, and exploring avenues through which Pakistani investors could contribute to Ghana’s development agenda.
The engagement also highlighted the importance of fostering international partnerships and creating an enabling environment for private-sector investment to support economic growth, job creation and industrial development.
Madam Affo-Toffey, who is also the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, welcomed the delegation and expressed the importance of sustained engagement with international investors to identify viable projects that could bring mutual benefits to Ghana and its development partners.
She further underscored the need for investment partnerships that align with Ghana’s national development priorities and contribute meaningfully to the growth of strategic sectors of the economy.
