The Nifahene of Adukrom -Akuapem in the Okere Traditional area of the Eastern Region, Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio VI, has cautioned male teachers to maintain professionalism in their relationship with the young female students.
According to Osuodumgya, the Girl child’s education remains the most reliable pathway to success, growth and sustainable development of Ghana
He stressed that teachers sleeping with the students cannot guarantee a secure future for the younger ones.
Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio VI, therefore urged the young girls to remain committed to their studies and equip themselves with knowledge and skills that would enable them to contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the nation at large.
Touching on community development, the chief called for unity among residents, emphasising that collective effort is key to achieving meaningful progress. He particularly appealed to the people of Okere to rally behind his leadership and work together to promote the socio-economic development of Okere.
He made these remarks on the sidelines of the “Okere community health walk” organized by the Member of Parliament for Okere, Daniel Addo Kenneth, to honour his predecessor, Dan Botwe.

The colourful “Get Okere Walk” event brought together traditional authorities, school children, teachers, and community members.
They walked from Adukrom to Aseseeso. Speaking at ” Get Okere Walk”, Mr Dan Botwe reaffirmed his commitment to promoting education and quality health care for the people of Okere.

He expressed profound gratitude to the chiefs for continuous support towards the promotion of quality education in the area.
