The Electoral Commission (EC) will begin the replacement of Voter ID Cards tomorrow, Thursday, May 30, through to Friday, June 14, 2024, the EC has announced.
The exercise is to help eligible voters who have lost their ID cards to get them replaced by the Commission ahead of the December 07 elections.
A statement from the Commission Tuesday, May 28, 2024, informed voters seeking their cards to be replaced to make payment using the shortcode *222*1067#.
“The cost for replacement is GH¢10 only,” portions of the statement read.
Persons seeking to get their cards replaced are required to provide a reference code received after the payment to their respective District Officers to facilitate the replacement according to the EC’s statement.
