The Electoral Commission (EC) has debunked claims by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the printing of ballot papers for the December 2024 polls.
The Commission has said it has not yet commenced the printing of ballots, responding to concerns raised by the opposition NDC.
In a statement issued by the EC Friday, October 11, 2024, it said preparations are underway for the printing of the ballots. It, however, stated that the printing of the notice of poll will commence today, Friday, October 11.
The Commission further disclosed that details of the ballots will be made available to all the political parties before the printing of the ballot commences.
The EC says it wants to ensure transparency in the process and would make available all details regarding the printing to the stakeholders.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to working closely with all political parties and stakeholders to guarantee a smooth and credible electoral process as Ghana heads into the 2024 general elections.
