Managers of the Electricity of Ghana (ECG) Ashanti Sub-transmission have been conducting scheduled maintenance works at Konongo BSP, one of the 42 substations within its operational areas, to enhance system reliability, power quality, and loss reduction in the region.

The Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP) is a proactive action plan, designed to maintain system equipment, including Overhead Lines (OHL), Underground Cables (UGC), Transformers, Switchgears, and other critical apparatus.

The exercise aims to optimize utilization and maximize the equipment’s life cycle, ensuring system reliability, power quality, and loss reduction.

Leading the team of engineers and technicians in the exercise were Ash Sub-T Network Maintenance Manager, Ing. James Mensah Yevunya, and Substation Maintenance Manager, Ing. Eden Agra, who both participated in and supervised the work.

They assured customers of quality service this and also appealed to them to pay their bills promptly.

“We want to take this opportunity to assure our customers of our resolve to provide quality service. ECG has always provided quality service to our cherished customers and will continue in this direction. Support us to provide quality service by paying your bills promptly,” Engineer Yevunya said.
