This week, the Boadi Main Station ‘F’ witnessed a significant shutdown maintenance operation as part of ongoing efforts to ensure uninterrupted power to homes, hospitals, schools, and businesses across the region.
This wasn’t just another routine maintenance call — it was a coordinated effort, a show of precision and purpose, affirming ECG’s commitment to delivering reliable electricity services to its customers.
The shutdown, carried out meticulously by Ashanti Sub-T’s Network Maintenance and Substations teams, is part of a broader preventive maintenance strategy aimed at restoring the integrity of the distribution system and increasing operational efficiency.
“Preventive maintenance isn’t just about fixing things — it’s about staying ahead of the curve,” said Ing. Peter Kofi Fletcher, General Manager of the region. “We want our systems to run not just effectively, but optimally — just like they were designed to.”
In a show of hands-on leadership and solidarity, Ing. Fletcher visited the site to commend the crew for their dedication. Joining him were Ing. James Mensah Yevunya, Manager of Network Maintenance, and Ing. Edem Agra, Substations Maintenance Manager. Together, they underscored the strategic value of preventive work in safeguarding the region’s electrical future.
