The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set Saturday, July 27, 2024, as the day to officially kick-start its 2024 campaign. This will be done in the Northern Regional capital of Tamale.
The announcement was made by the flag bearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama, during the ‘Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk’ in Accra Saturday, July 20, 2024.
According to him, the campaign will unfold across the various regions in the country leading up to the 2024 polls.
The party’s flag bearer, at the walk, admonished the NDC faithful to come together to campaign to ensure it wins power back from the governing NPP.
‘’The campaign is for all of us. it is not for Joshua Alabi, he is the campaign manager. It is not for your constituency campaign task forces; it is not for your regional campaign task forces. It is for every one of you. Any spare time you have, wear your T-shirts, we are going to send you leaflets and you go from house to house and distribute the leaflets to your neighbours and tell them the message of the NDC’’ he said.
For a fair and transparent exercise, John Mahama also urged the party agents to stay vigilant and protect the ballot boxes to ensure the verdict of the people is not overturned.
“On that day, you are not just going to vote and go home. You will wait and protect the ballot box. I don’t want to call agents or executives and your lines are switched off,” he stated.
