Jetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III, the paramount chief of the Ada Traditional Area and President of the Ada Traditional Council, has admonished Ghanaians to see peace as a call to national duty.
He has urged the citizenry to ensure the peace Ghana is having prevails before, during and after the December 07 polls.
During his welcome address at the grand durbar of the Ada Asafotufiami –the firing of musket festival 2024 –at the Presbyterian School park at Bana Saturday, August 03, 2024, he asked all, especially politicians, to ensure they don’t indulge in acts that will plunder the nation into anarchy.
He advised the politicians to prioritise the peace of the nation in all their activities.
“I’ll like to take this opportunity to urge all political parties to remain civil in their campaigns and desist from acts that can cause insecurity before, during and after the elections,” a statement read on his behalf indicated.
He further admonished all to contribute their quota towards the peace of the nation, saying it is a call to national duty.
“I, therefore admonish all to see the upcoming elections as a call to national duty and contribute their quota to the democratic dispensation we are currently enjoying as a nation.
“Let us respect each other. For without peace, there will be no nation for any of us called Ghana,” he added.
