Italian Serie A side Atalanta Bergamo have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana Karkari from Cagliari in a fee said to be around €8 million.
The deal will also see three players moving in the opposite direction.
The contract was made official by the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League winners on Wednesday, July 17.

Born in Sunyani, on May 22, 2003, the 21-year-old launched his foray in Italian football for Hellas Verona with whom, after a positive season in the youth team, he made his Serie A debut on October 9, 2022 in the match on the field of Salernitana, taking the place of Veloso twenty minutes from the end.
He made 17 appearances, including the playoff for staying in Serie A played as a starter and won against Spezia.
In the summer of 2023, he moved to Cagliari, who acquired him permanently.
He played a total of 24 matches, scoring two goals.
As part of Sulemana’s deal, Atalanta have sold full-back Nadir Zortea and loaned centre-forward Roberto Piccoli and midfielder Michel Ndary Adopo to Cagliari.
