Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has prayed God for the spirit of “good judgement” for Ghanaians ahead of the 2024 elections.

She says that would help the citizenry “make the right choice, even in this period of misinformation and material influence”.

She has urged the wives of the pastors of the Assemblies of God Church “to join me in praying for my husband John Dramani Mahama, for God to grant his heart desire, and bless him with divine empowerment to change the destiny of Ghana for the better.”

She made the call during a Ministers’ Wives Conference of the Assemblies of God Church Sunday, June 09, 2024.

Madam Mahama commended the pastors’ wives of the church for their generosity to their congregations, together with their show of motherly love and good counsel.

She observed that many pastors’ wives serve in rural and the remotest parts of the country and appreciated them for the sacrifices they make.

She found it heart-warming, that through the Ministers’ Wives Association of Assemblies of God, many pastors’ wives have developed their skills “and have been equipped to provide emotional and material support for their congregations.”

In her address, the National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association of the Assemblies of God Church, Monica Wengam, spoke extensively on the theme of the church, and how the wife of the pastor can assist contribute to winning souls for Christ, especially in this end time and the “moral decadence we are witnessing”.

She explained, that when pastors’ wives champion evangelism and participate in church planting, they would contribute greatly to curtailing the LGBTQ+ agenda.
