The death has been reported of 2016/17 Ghana Premier League top scorer Hans Kwofie.

Hans Kwofie, who won the Golden Boot whilst with Ashanti Gold, met his untimely death in a motor accident on his way to his hometown of Dompim Pepesa in the Western Region.

The sad incident occurred on Friday, June 21 at Dadwen in the Ashanti Region.

Until his untimely death, Hans Kwofie was plying his trade in Nepal for Birgunj United FC.

He had played for a number of Ghana Premier League clubs including former champions Medeama SC, Aduana Stars and AshGold.

He was also in the gulf, where he played for Al-Oruba in Qatar and later featured for Smouha SC in Egypt.

Hans Kwofie has also played in Tanzania, for Singida United, and Malaysia, for Puchong Fuerza.

He was part of the 2010 Black Satellites squad.
