Ghana and Nigeria would rekindle their rivalry in football once again, but this time in the qualifiers for the 2024 African Nations Championship.

The draw for the qualifiers for the tournament to be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania was held on Wednesday, October 9.

In the WAFU Zone B draw, the Black Galaxies were drawn to play against Nigeria in the final round of qualifiers.

The first leg will be hosted by Ghana on Sunday, December 22 with the second leg played a week later.

Before the final round of qualifiers, Togo and Benin will slug it out in the first round of qualifiers.

The winner of that clash will come up against Niger.

La Cote d’Ivoire will also face Burkina Faso in the other qualifier.

In the WAFU Zone A draw, Sierra Leone and Liberia will start it all in the first round of qualifiers with the winner facing Senegal in the second round.

The other qualifiers will see Mauritania play Mali and Guinea slug it out with Guinea-Bissau.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from Saturday, February 1 to Friday, February 28, 2025.
