John Dramani Mahama has indicated that “the youth of this country wants an experienced hand, safe pair of hands, to come and rescue us from the mess in which we have been dumped by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.”
He says it is time to reset Ghana, and the NPP government does not deserve a day longer, considering the havoc it has caused since assuming power in 2017.
John Mahama, speaking at the launch of the NDC’s 2024 campaign in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, on the theme; Change to reset Ghana, he noted that “the more I look at our situation, it is worse than what this government is telling us.”
He said “it is going to take a lot of hard work and one person alone cannot do it” calling on the cooperation of the entire citizenry to help reset the country.
John Mahama added that although things were not perfect in his first term, he did his best to ensure Ghana was on the right path.
He also assured that “I will never tell you lies”, adding that he will not make promises he cannot fulfill.
The former President bemoaned the policies of various administrations that have focused on the short term without recourse to building a foundation for the future.
“So, I’m promising you that I will work hard, day and night, and reset the fortunes of our country,” he assured.
