Ghana’s 4 X 100m men’s and women’s relay teams will vie for Gold as they both made it to the finals of their respective events.

The women’s team won their semi-final race on Tuesday, March 19, clocking a time of 44.24s to go into Wednesday’s final as the favourites.

The men, anchored by Benjamin Azamati, stepped on the tracks a few minutes later to also win their semi-final race much to excitement in the crowd.

Edwin Gadayi started it all, handing over the baton to Azamati.

The exchange between Solomon Hammond and Joseph-Paul Amoah was not that smooth but the 200m specialist finished the race in style for the Ghanaian quartet.

Both finals are scheduled for Wednesday evening at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
