Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has once again touted the economic prowess of the Vice President and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Kufuor is insisting Dr. Bawumia has what it takes to transform Ghana’s economy from the current circumstances if he is voted for.
He has extolled Bawumia’s contributions in his administration, where he supported the then governor of the Bank of Ghana to strengthen the local economy.
Speaking to some journalists Sunday, November 17, 2024, President Kufuor admonished the citizenry to support Bawumia in his bid to become President since he has what it takes to build Ghana’s economy.
“Given the current global circumstances, I firmly believe that Ghana’s economy will experience significant improvement if Bawumia is elected as President. With divine guidance, he is capable of delivering on this promise, and I encourage you to support his candidacy.
“I have observed his remarkable abilities in economic enhancement during my tenure, as he was integral to the Bank of Ghana’s team under Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, contributing to the revival of the currency,” he stated.
