Spokesperson for the New Force, Shalimar Abbuissi, has been repatriated after her permit was revoked by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).

The Ghana Immigration Service had indicated that Shalimar’s documents shows she was studying at the Ghana Christian University College which their investigation proved otherwise.

After being discharged by the Kaneshie District Court Tuesday, state prosecutors intended to drop the charge of obtaining a student permit under false declaration.

With a sigh of relief upon the decision by the state prosecutors, her fear of being imprisoned or fined was renewed with a sense of freedom.

However, she was rearrested barely 20 minutes after the judgement.

Travel arrangements had been made by the state after the GIS gave her 24 hours within which to leave the country. At 10 PM on Tuesday, her Brussels flight took off from the Kotoka International Airport.

Francis Xavier Sosu, Shalimar’s lawyer, was who got discontented with the development said his client’s fundamental human right had been abused and he was going to fight to get her justice.

Mr. Sosu says he will still pursue the legal processes initiated at the Human Rights Court.
