Joyce Bawah Mogtari the Special Aide and Presidential Adviser to President John Dramani Mahama has expressed gratitude to the President for retaining her role in his second term of office.
Madam Mogtari, who served as Mahama’s Special Aide whilst in government and opposition, in a letter signed by the Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu Tuesday, January 21, 2025, said she maintain the portfolio with an additional role as Presidential Adviser.
In a post on her Facebook following the announcement, she expressed gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in her, indicating the new role as being the handiwork of God.
“God has spoken and I know that God has confirmed and established JB, the people’s leader! I am grateful to each one of you and grateful to President JD Mahama!”
Meanwhile, the same release named Stanislav Xoese Dogbe and Nana Oye Bampoe Addo as Deputy Chiefs of Staff in charge of operations and administration, respectively.
The President has also appointed Seth Emmanuel Terkper as Presidential Adviser on the Economy.
Additionally, Professor Francis Dodoo will lead the fight against corruption as Presidential Adviser on the National Anti-Corruption Programme.
Expanding the reach of Ghanaian diplomacy, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey has been named Special Envoy to the Alliance of Sahelian States.
Further appointments include Nana Yaa Jantuah and Beatrice Annangfio as Presidential Staffers, and Shamima Muslim as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson.
Rounding out the list, Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo has been appointed as Cabinet Secretary, a crucial role in coordinating government business.
In a statement, President Mahama expressed his confidence in the appointees, stating that they bring a wealth of expertise and dedication to their respective roles.
He emphasized that these appointments are crucial for the progress and development of the nation.
