Premier League side West Ham United have parted ways with manager Graham Potter after eight months in charge.

Graham, after his spell with Chelsea, was appointed at the East London club to replace Julen Lopetegui after a disappointing performance last season.

According to a statement from West Ham, “a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible”.

The club is currently 19th on the 20-team table with just 3 points from five games. They last lost at home to Crystal Palace.

“Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025-26 season have not matched expectations.”

The board used the opportunity to “thank Graham and his coaching staff for their hard work during their time with the Hammers and wish them every success for the future”.

The club says the process of appointing a replacement is under way.
