The chief of Chraa in the Bono Region, Nana Afari Mintah, has showered praise on the former president and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for his kind heart towards humanity.
The chief was speaking at his palace on Sunday when the former president paid a courtesy call on him.
Nana Afari Mintah recounted how John Dramani Mahama saved his life when he was in a critical condition and needed help.
According to him, he was given less than 45 minutes to be transported to Accra for medical care, a very difficult situation that out his family.
But Mr Mahama, who was the President at the time, the chief narrated, came to his rescue by sending the Presidential Jet to take him to Accra for medical care.
The chief believes he is not the only person the former president has done this to, adding that he and his family will forever remain grateful to the former president for the kind gesture.
He has, therefore, described the NDC flagbearer as a man with golden heart who cares for humanity.
