Former Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have suffered a GH¢5,000 fine by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for misconduct.

According to a statement issued by the GFA, the Phobians were found for misconduct in their 2-2 draw against Dreams FC in the League.

“The Disciplinary Committee found that the Club’s Social Media Commentary on the Match Officials of the said game constituted misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute,” the statement on Monday, April 8 said.

The club, it added, was also found guilty of inappropriate behaviour on the part of its supporters.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are coming under fire for the recent poor run in the League.

On Sunday, they lost 1-0 at home to Bibiani Goldstars FC.

The club will travel to Tarkwa to face champions Medeama SC on Wednesday.

Hearts of Oak lie 10th with 32 points, a point and a place below their midweek opponents.
