Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have parted ways with head coach Martinus Koopman.

The decision, according to the club, forms part of a “grand aim of restructuring the technical team as we continue with the 2023-24 football season”.

Assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru has been appointed to take charge of the team “until further notice”.

The Phobians are currently 11th on the log with 12 points, having won only two in 10 games so far this season.

The former champions have gone without goals in their last two games, drawing barren with Heart of Lions and Legon Cities.

Bashiru will be in charge of the next game against Accra Lions on Saturday.

Management of Hearts of Oak SC thanked the Dutch manager for his services and wished him well in his future endeavours.
