The High Court has adjourned hearing of the application for stay of execution by NDC Parliamentary candidates for Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Techiman South and Ablekuma North indefinitely.

In court on Monday, January 13, 2025, presiding Judge Baah Forson Agyapong observed that there had been a notice of non-service to the NPP candidate’s of the four constituencies.

The Counsel for the NDC parliamentary candidates, led by Gideon Abotsi holding brief for Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, noted that in light of the recent developments, they would need additional time in order for the processes to be served on the parties.

The judge granted his request and adjourned the case indefinitely.

At the last hearing date, the Bailiffs Manager disclosed to the court that the bailiffs were unable to serve processes of stay of execution on the lawyer for the NPP Parliamentary candidates, citing that the office had been locked. They however failed to notify the court.

He therefore directed that the bailiffs be queried and the right procedure carried out.

Meanwhile NPP candidates of Techiman South, Okaikwei Central and Tema Central have been sworn in as Members of Parliament after the Electoral Commission declared them winners following the completion of collation of results of outstanding polling centres in their constituencies.

Ablekuma North Constituency however remains unrepresented with the EC yet to complete the collation process.
